We'd love to believe that low temps are no excuse for staying in when weekend activities call. Why would we hide under the covers when we could be comforting ourselves with a BEC in a cozy cafe, browsing holiday pop-ups, or generally being productive?

But the reality is, we're cold. On days when the forecast hits a record low, we need all the motivation we can get to go outside and be social. And no, we don't mean a scroll through our Instagram feed; we're talking about fashion motivation — warm, no-brainer outfits that we're actually excited to wear. To make that happen stat, we turned to our handy Stitch Fix personal stylist to winterize our go-to weekend looks for our go-to weekend shenanigans. From layering ideas that won't kill your vibe to fresh jeans-and-sweater solutions, the outfits ahead will convince you not to hibernate this winter. Because, let's face it, we could all use a little push.

Date Night

Unfortunately, not all winter date nights can take place on the couch. On those freezing-cold evenings when you and your S.O. venture out on the town, try a pleated silver skirt, a striped turtleneck, and a standout coat for a pop of color.

Cozy Brunch

If there's one thing we don't totally hate going outside for on a Sunday, it's brunch. Take your beloved sweater-and-jeans combo up a notch with a colorblocked knit and frayed, wide-legged denim. Pair with patent boots, a structured bag, and faux fur for an elevated outfit that'll convince your pals that you didn't just roll out of bed.

Shrimps coat, Madewell jeans, ASOS boots, Topshop sweater.

Errand-Running

Yes, you still have to get groceries and take your beat-up boots to the cobbler when it's below 30 degrees. For an on-the-go look that'll help you slay your to-dos in style, layer a sweaterdress over your favorite jeans. Add in a quirky pair of sneakers, a casual zip-up, and subtle jewelry, and you're ready to roll.

Littionary earrings, Moncler jacket, Adidas shoes, Aritzia dress.

Pistola Aimee Distressed Skinny Jean, available at Stitch Fix.

Girls' Night Out

As much as we'd love to drink wine and watch movies with our crew every Saturday night until spring, we know that plan won't fly. For a warm going-out look that you'll actually want to show off, throw a simple slip dress over a neutral turtleneck, and sass it up with a black bomber and booties.

Zara dress, J.Crew sweater, Everlane boots, Jenny Bird earrings.

RD Style Maddock Faux Leather Jacket, available at Stitch Fix.

Coffee Meet-Up

Rocking a dress to chill at the coffee shop only sounds fancy. When you wear it over a turtleneck, it's actually totally relaxed. Coordinate this duo with a parka and block-heel boots for a warm (and not wobbly) caffeine break.

Mango dress, The Stowe bag, Uniqlo sweater, Woolrich coat.

BCBGeneration Savanna Buckle Bootie, available at Stitch Fix.
