Sophie Turner, better known as Sansa Stark, is an infamous redhead. She was spotted at Comic-Con last week rocking her signature look, made famous by her role on Game of Thrones.
Now, the 20-year-old actress is switching up her hair. She's a platinum blonde! Turner subtly announced the startling news with an Instagram post on July 29.
"I did a thing..." she wrote in the caption, though she's still keeping the full look pretty private.
While her roots are a striking platinum, the ends are a darker blonde, which gives the whole look an ombré feel. Maybe Turner's playing with her hair color while Games of Thrones isn't taping. Or maybe she's vying for the approval of the mother of dragons.
Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen is the show's iconic blonde, but now she's got some competition.

The red carpet is the best place to track the beauty evolutions of our favorite celebrities — which, BTW, just keep getting better over the years. And since 1999, the Teen Choice Awards has been the show at which stars show off their colorful, experimental sides when it comes to hair and makeup, so we always make sure to tune in.
Creative braids, out-there eyeliner, and pastel streaks are just a few of the things we've come to expect, and the 2016 red carpet isn't letting us down. Best of all, the looks we love most strike just the right balance between playful and sophisticated. So you can wear them to work, a wedding, or a festival. We're planning on working our way through all of them by the time summer ends.
Ahead, check out the coolest hair and makeup ideas from tonight's aquamarine carpet.

Victoria Justice
At first glance, the host of the show seemed to be rocking a classic milkmaid braid. Cute. But then we looked closer and found a hint of reddish-violet color weaved throughout the band, and damn, that tiny detail made things so much cooler.

The 2016 Teen Choice Awards opened with a performance from Flo Rida, belting out signature hits like "My House" and "Wild Ones." While the songs got the party started, the performance still had a few hiccups.
For "Wild Ones," Flo Rida was joined by Bebe Rexha. (If you don't recognize her name, you've probably heard her voice on hits like David Guetta's "Hey Mama.")
Rexha has a great voice. But unfortunately for viewers watching the awards show at home, it was difficult to hear her performance. There seemed to be some microphone issues while Rexha sang, and her "Wild Ones" rendition was barely audible.
On the plus side, it's refreshing to see that Rexha was actually performing the song live — which isn't always a given for awards shows. To hear what the female portion of "Wild Ones" is meant to sound like, check out the original song, featuring Sia, below.

Update: Tonight Pretty Little Liars took home a surfboard at the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Show: Drama — something they’ve done every year since 2012. To be clear, there are so many reasons why this show should have won (there was cheering in our office when it was announced), and I was rooting for it as our resident-R29-recapper of the show. Yet, this just emphasizes how many young people are tuning in each week, and taking notes from the relationships on the show — reminding us all why the presence of statutory rape on this show needs to be addressed.
This story was originally published on July 20, 2016.
On last night's Pretty Little Liars, Ezra (Ian Harding) proposed to Aria (Lucy Hale). I know most fans were cheering — this is one of the most-loved couples on the show. (Even executive producer and showrunner Marlene King has called Ezria the "end game.") But I was pissed and feeling cheated. If you read my recaps you know that I love the show, but that I have a huge problem with its persistent use of inappropriate relationships: namely, when a grown man dates an underage girl.
Many TV shows have used these relationships to add some drama and score ratings. It's almost always the same dynamic of a grown man and underage girl, although there have been some notable exceptions that flip the gender-role script — for example Tamara (Leann Hunley) and Pacey (Joshua Jackson) on Dawson's Creek. However, few shows have used these May-December relationships as often and without consequence as Pretty Little Liars.
The most prominent example is the Ezra and Aria romance. Ezra was Aria's high school teacher when they started dating — she was only 16 — that alone was creepy. The backstory only made it worse. He had previously hooked up with and romanced Aria's friend, 15-year-old Ali (Sasha Pieterse), until the night she disappeared. As if that wasn't bad enough, he was also using Aria as material for his book on Ali, hoping for the next Gone Girl -esque best-seller. We are supposed to believe that he truly fell for Aria, but it's hard to get past the fact that a grown man put surveillance cameras on his girlfriend and her friends, all of whom were still in high school.
Somehow, the only people who ever have concerns about the relationship are Aria's parents, and even they give in. The pair — known to fans as "Ezria" — was beloved from the beginning. I figured the writers and fans would change their alliances once Ezra's lair was revealed. He was literally sitting in a creepy apartment watching unauthorized surveillance cameras of four underage girls. Yet the characters forgave him, the writers forgave him, the fans forgave him. I was just repulsed.
When they broke up as Aria graduated, I was thankful. We could move on. Five years later, Aria is no longer underage, so when they got back together it wasn't illegal anymore. But their history is still there. Last week, Liam brought it up. He rightfully called out the relationship for being inappropriate and accused Ezra of taking advantage of a student. These things are all true. Ezra left to figure out how he felt about those "criticisms." I was hopeful. Maybe people were understanding the consequences after all. Nope. He came back and proposed. Actually, he told her to listen while he talked (so essentially, "shut up") before he asked her to commit to him for life.
I just couldn't believe that moment — the first time the Ezria relationship is accurately described —was used as a catalyst for a proposal between the two. But, considering all of the inappropriate relationships the series has served up, I shouldn't have been surprised. Here's a look at Pretty Little Liars' history when it comes to grown men and high school girls. Let's just hope that when Ezria gets married, they don't mention how Aria aced both English and Human Anatomy with Ezra.

Spencer (Troian Bellisario) was used in the beginning of the show as the go-to character for age-inappropriate relationships. Ian (Ryan Merriman) made out with her when she was a sophomore in high school. He was in college at the time. Oh, he was also her sister's boyfriend.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
Ian wasn't the only one of her sister's boyfriends that seduced Spencer. She also ended up making out with Melissa's (Torrey DeVitto) fiancé, Wren (Julian Morris). He had graduated from medical school — so he was in his late 20s — and she was just starting her junior year of high school.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
It turns out that the summer before Ali went missing, she ended up being kissed by multiple over-aged men. She wrote love letters to a man who was rumored to have gotten her pregnant, referred to as "Board Shorts." Later, we found out that Board Shorts was detective Wilden. It's hard to tell exactly how old he was, but considering he also forced Mrs. Marin (Laura Leighton) to date him, and he was an officer when Charlotte (Vanessa Ray) was a teenager, he would be in his mid-30s. The fact he's a police officer only makes it worse.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
The same summer of Board Shorts, Ian also started hooking up with Ali. So, he's a cheater and a statutory rapist, twice over. The fact he was also recording videos of the whole town — including Ali and all of her underage friends — as part of the N.A.T. club just made him creepier.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
The most innocent of the age-inappropriate relationships was Ezra and Ali. I will give Ezra the benefit of the doubt here. He had no idea how old Ali was until later. Yet, the fact he knowingly got into a another relationship with one of her friends is a problem.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
It's not just Spencer who caught Wren's eyes. He also tried to start a romance with Hanna (Ashley Benson). Yes, he tried to hook up with the friend of one of his exes, the little sister of his ex-fiancée. If that is not complicated, I don't know what it is. He was a doctor, and he used treating her as a chance to flirt. Not only was the age gap an issue, but the whole beginning of their relationship was an abuse of his position.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
It's not just The Liars who were halves of age-inappropriate couples. Jenna (Tammin Sursok) also dated a police officer in his 20s — Garrett (Yani Gellman). Garrett apparently saw no need to hide his relationship with a high school student, even though he was a member of law enforcement.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
Aria's father was always against the Ezra and Aria relationship, but he was a huge hypocrite. One of the original secrets that Ali used against her friends was that Mr. Montgomery (Chad Lowe) was cheating on his wife with one of his students. He moved the family to another country in order to "try and make things right," but picked back up with the then-graduated student once they moved back.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
In the last season, the writers seemed to realize they needed to take a stand against creepy men. I respect that. Mrs. Montgomery (Holly Marie Combs) moved on from her cheating ex-husband with coffee-shop owner Zack (Steve Talley). Right before they were supposed to get married, Zack sexually harassed Hanna (Ashley Benson). But the storyline felt forced and too little too late considering all of the other relationships people should have spoken up about.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
When Aria's parents freaked out about Ezra's age, she ended up in the arms of another college graduate — not really what her parents had in mind. Not only was Jason (Drew Van Acker) considerably older, but he's also the older brother of her missing friend.
Image: Freeform/Eric McCandless.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
That leaves us with the (perhaps) newly engaged. (Aria's response was left as a cliffhanger for the next episode.) Not only did the couple secretly date for most of Aria's high school years, but they went on public dates and even danced at school dances together in the later seasons. Ezra was eventually fired from his teaching position, but was later brought back on. It seemed like everyone forgot that it's not okay for a high school teacher to date his students.

It might be time for Fox to consider renaming the Teen Choice Awards to The PLL Awards. The cast of Freeform's Pretty Little Liars showed up and showed out tonight. To receive their seventh (that's one for each season the show has existed) Best TV Drama award and each one of the main cast members came to play... and slay. Liars, Shay Mitchell, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario stunned in a coordinated assortment of of shiny sequins and metallics, accompanied by their male co-stars. Major squad goals — especially since they actually put in a little effort into their looks, unlike some winners (sorry, Grant Gustin).
"Thank you, this is awesome!" Ashley Benson said while she accepted the award. "It's been a crazy ride, seven years. So thank you for voting. Without you guys we wouldn't have an amazing successful TV show for the last seven years."
Watch the full acceptance speech below:

The 2016 Teen Choice Awards had some safe bets, sure. There were copious floral looks, for example. Though, the show also involved some fairly unexpected cameos, like say, a polished pastel romper on Maddie Ziegler. But pants figured into the silhouettes of some of the night's more exciting getups, even when done in head-to-toe black.
Jessica Alba, Gina Rodriguez, Laverne Cox, and Keke Palmer all ditched skirts and dresses in favor of full-gams coverage. They weren't the only pants-donning celebs of the night, however. Sofia Carson and Chelsea Kane also followed suit, literally.
Don't miss our full roundup of this year's best dressed at the Teen Choice Awards, here. Ahead, check out four of our favorite ensembles that show just how powerful pantsuits and jumpsuits can be on the red carpet.

Laverne Cox's black jumpsuit, featuring a plunging neckline, is only in need of one accessory, apparently. Behold, the big, beautiful, ultra-'90s chain belt slung on the Orange Is The New Black star's hips.

Jessica Alba makes this long-sleeved, wide-legged matching set look so damn good. The top's cropped length, scalloped edges, and mesh shoulder panelling lend some edge (and a bit of sexiness) to the businesswoman and actress' all-black number.

Gina Rodriguez's Le Smoking-esque suit is a departure from what we're used to seeing the Jane The Virgin actress wearing. Designed by Brooklyn-based indie label Cielo, the getup features tapered trousers and an exaggerated bow.

Keke Palmer also opted for a jumpsuit, like Cox. But the style the Scream Queens star chose is a bit flashier. This is thanks to its shiny pewter hue and hybrid neckline (choker and very deep v-neck).

Pretty Little Liars stars Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson had a very chic coordinating moment at tonight's Teen Choice Awards. Both actresses opted for short, sleeveless, detail-packed dresses in silvery hues.
The ultra-short Michael Kors style Benson wore, thickly textured and gleaming, is tricked out with rows of O-ring cutouts. Hale's stylist, Alyssa Sutter, put her in a halter-necked, knee-grazing look with silver caging detail from Azzaro (the actress has worn the label on the red carpet before). The match-y metallic situation also involved, to a lesser degree, co-star Shay Mitchell, who was decked out in a gold sequined minidress.
The show scooped up the Choice TV Series: Drama award tonight: All the better to show off Benson and Hale's somewhat similar silver numbers, along with Mitchell's gilded take on the metallic mini. All that high-shine made for a pretty good photo opp when the cast came on stage for their win. (Benson also went on stage for two more awards.)
Beyond the red carpet, there were a few fashion-centric categories up for grabs. The Choice Style Female category's nominees were Zendaya, Bella Thorne, Blake Lively, Willow Smith, Kesha, and Becky G. For those that kill it on step-and-repeats as well as catwalks? Yeah, there's a Teen Choice Awards category for that, too. Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Hailey Baldwin were all up for Choice Model tonight; Jenner ended up winning.
But back to those seemingly coordinated outfits. Clearly, taking an ultra-sparkly tact for the occasion came in handy for Benson and Hale when it came time for the PLL cast to accept that surfboard trophy.

To the satisfaction of the thousands of rabid fans , Teen Wolf took home the Choice Summer TV Show Award at the Teen Choice Awards. On stage accepting the award were cast members Shelley Hennig, Cody Christian, and Tyler Posey.
Posey delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of his cast mates. The speech was filled with messages of love and acceptance. It was pretty emotional as he repeated over and over again how much he adored his beautiful fans.
The whole thing seemed like one big apology for an incident that happened earlier this weekend. Posey got heavily criticized for making an ill-informed and offensive joke by pretending to come out as gay on his Snapchat story to all of his followers. Immediately afterwards, he took back the comments and clarified that he's actually not gay, but was trying to say that he supported the LGBTQ community.
But his fans seem to have forgiven, or forgotten, about it all because the reactions to the win were overwhelmingly positive. Teen Wolf, along with Pretty Little Liars, are among the legacy shows that consistently find themselves as major winners.

At the 2016 Teen Choice Awards, Justin Timberlake received the Decade Award, presented to him by Kobe Bryant. During his acceptance speech, Timberlake shared an inspirational message for young people, and looked every bit like a high school teacher imparting his wisdom.
The 35-year-old described his Tennessee upbringing, noting that his parents taught him to "respect all people on the basis of their character." He also listed some of the musical artists who inspired him over the years, including Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Garth Brooks, and Elton John.
Of course, presenting a 10-year award might seen strange at an event aimed at teens. Many current teens, for example, might not remember "Sexy Back," which was featured prominently in the montage ahead of Timberlake's speech. But the artist himself seemed to recognize that fact. He referred to himself as a "former teen" multiple times, and his speech was framed as advice for the kids.
Timberlake encouraged teens to volunteer locally, stressing that you don't have to make a difference on a global scale for your actions to be worthwhile. "Do not think for a moment that what you do doesn't count," he said, addressing the "teens out there."
He continued, "We should be part of the solution, and not part of the problem." He wrapped up his speech with a quote from Muhammad Ali: "Impossible is nothing."
While his speech seemed more fitting for a commencement ceremony than for an awards show honoring his music and film performances, it was a nice addition to the show. Timberlake focused the speech on unity, rather than on his own achievements — and hopefully inspired young people along the way.

Tonight's Teen Choice Awards red carpet was a hot spot for beauty inspiration. But our favorite trend? Peek-A-Boo hair. By that we mean, updos and styles that were simple from the front, but totally surprising from behind. With a quick spin or glance over the shoulder, celebs revealed secret braids that were equal parts boho, glam, and rocker.
It's the coolest hairstyle idea to steal for hot summer days. Pair peek-a-boo plaits with simple accessories, highlights, or extensions — anything goes. And it doesn't matter if you aren't well-versed in the fishtail or French; a classic three-strand weave in an unexpected place is all you need.
Ahead, see the inspiring Teen Choice Awards trend that we didn't even know we were missing out on until now.

The reoccurring idea in Sun Tzu's strategic and philosophical book, The Art Of War, is deception. A good leader will always overcome his enemy using deception. This idea of using deception to overcome power struggles, with both expected and surprising enemies, is central thread throughout this episode of The Night Of.
In episode four, "The Art Of War," we see a shift in Naz. The doe-eyed college boy is starting to walk and act more like a steely eyed man. He's not necessarily acting like a criminal or giving any more of an indication that he is responsible for Andrea Cornish's brutal stabbing. Like in a war, he is starting to recognize who his allies are.
We also saw a major development with attorney John Stone. After being dropped from the case, it seems his interest about proving Naz's innocence has skyrocketed. His feet are also worse, but maybe the flare-up is tied to his fervid quest for the truth.
Oh, and Naz almost confesses.
As I said in the weeks prior, this is a slow-moving show, meant to be an eight-part movie, so instead of summarizing the play-by-plays of each hour-long episode, we're plotting out all the new clues, suspects, and reemerging information.
Underneath a bridge, along a patch of the river that looks eerily similar to where Naz drove Andrea when they went to the "beach," we see a group of about a dozen people gathering for Andrea's burial. Stone, as predicted, can't stay away from the case and sits in the background behind headstones, watching the ceremony from afar. Afterwards, we see Don Taylor get into a heated, aggressive argument with a mysterious young man in a suit. Taylor screams at him, asking what he is doing here. The man asks the same, and Taylor responds, "I'm part of the fucking family!" Based on that comment, he can't be Andrea's sibling or relative. Since he doesn't look much older than Naz and Andrea, I'm guessing he's an ex-boyfriend, which makes him my new suspect of the week.
To me, Don Taylor is still shady, but even he seems pissed off to see this guy.
Inside Rikers, shit is going down. Naz clearly made a mistake when he dissed Freddy by not wanting to join his squad — and he has faced the consequences. Last week, it was the bed in flames. This week, it was a knife cut on his arm, as well as a serious burn from a some prison-made napalm on his other arm. It's unclear who stabbed Naz, but we all saw the man who severely burned him.
Or...did we?
I have a crazy theory to throw out there — that guy that was giving Naz all that prison advice, pep talks, and then attacked him? I think he's a figment of Naz's imagination. As in, he's Naz's Tyler Durden in this prison Fight Club. He created him out of fear, anxiety, and depression to cope with being in this violent, intimidating place.
Why do I think this? No one has ever addressed the guy when Naz was with him. The guy quickly took over Naz's former tear-drop tattooed prison friend's bed, but we never saw him get assigned to it. The story of what happened to the guy's niece is similar to what happened to Andrea. And after seeing how all the men in prison treat each other, why would that guy be helping Naz so much? Wouldn't Freddy have beat up the guy by now for stealing his "care package"?
That's just my take. Let's see if it holds up next week.
Debunked Theories
I wasn't able to totally debunk any of my theories. I'm hoping next week gives me a bit more closure.
But we can use this section to talk about the most heart-pounding moment of the episode, when Naz nearly confesses to the murder. Thankfully, Chandra Kapoor, his soon-to-be defense lawyer, asks him the one question he needed to hear before taking the stand and agreeing to the lessened sentence that Allison Crowe had negotiated for him. She simply said, "I would ask myself if I did it."
Since Naz is adamant, as am I, that he did not kill that girl, he knows what to do. He cannot accept the plea and will go to trial.
In front of the judge and the district attorney, Naz explains everything that happened that night:
“I left my parents' house to go to a party in Manhattan. I got lost and Andrea got into the back of the cab, thinking I was the real cab driver. We drove uptown. We talked. She gave me something — some pill. We went back to her place. We drank. She gave me something else — some powder. We went up to her bedroom. We had sex. And then, I fell asleep and woke up in the kitchen. I went upstairs to get my clothes and say goodbye. I went to her. And I saw that she was dead. I panicked. I ran.
"That’s all I remember.”
Predictions
I think having Chandra as Naz's lawyer will be a very good thing. So far, he has been dealt a bitchy headline-hungry Allison Crowe and a well-intentioned, but ring-ding John Stone. He needs someone that speaks to him like a person, like Chandra does. Let's hope she stays as pure as she seems and that the Khan family can afford her.
The district attorney seems open to the idea of accepting the fact that Naz is not the killer. She has expressed that to Detective Box multiple times, even accusing him of not really thinking Naz was guilty, either.
If Naz's former jail friend turned attacker is a real person, then based on the final scene of the episode where Naz finally asks Freddy for help, I think he'll get taught a very big lesson. He will think twice before messing with Naz ever again. If he's real, that is.
Those pictures of Andrea's file from Invictus House, the rehab facility she visited multiple times, will come into play. It also shows that she ran with a shady crowd. How many crimes have been committed when drugs were involved? A ton. Even though Andrea is the victim, her backstory reveals a lot about the situation she was in prior to ever meeting Naz.
Recurring Things To Think About
The cat! Stone calls to check in on the cat. It's still alive. "I don't want it yet," he tells the rescue center employee on the phone. "I'm just checking." Does anyone else think this cat is gonna be the key to everything?
Freddy's obsession with being intelligent, powerful, and the most deceptive seems to be his only weakness. Will Naz be able to hold his own and use that to his own advantage? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Fuller House won the Choice TV Show: Comedy Award at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards, but the acceptance speech wasn't exactly the funniest thing on TV. It was a loyal tribute to the original Full House, though. We'll give it that. The cast managed to squeeze in pretty much every old Full House catchphrase we grew up with.
"Hola Teenerinos!" Andrea Barber opened the speech, using a creative adaptation of "Hola Tannerinos!"
"Oh Mylanta, I can't believe we won!" Candace Cameron-Bure said upon receiving the award.
"And if you didn't vote for us, then how rude!" Jodie Sweetin added. It's not quite the same when it isn't said by an Olsen twin, we have to say.
Cameron-Bure also won Choice TV Actress, so the teen demographic is clearly happy with the show and its cast. This acceptance speech just didn't happen to be their best performance.

At first, the Teen Choice Awards were all about being silly (and occasionally awkward). But the awards show did take the opportunity to remind teens about the tragedies that have occurred in our country in recent years. Jessica Alba brought to the stage a group of "brave teenagers who share an unlikely bond that's hard to comprehend."
"They are the brothers, sisters, daughters, and family members of recent victims of gun violence," she said. Joining her were JT Lewis, brother of Sandy Hook victim Jesse Lewis; Jolene and Colin Verdehyou, who lost their mother in the San Bernardino shooting; the aunt of Cederrius Hastings, who was killed in an Atlanta drive-by shooting; Jamal, Justin, and Myreanna, who lost brother Jason Josaphat in Orlando; Patience Carter, a survivor of the Pulse Nightclub shooting; and Alton Sterling's son, Cameron Sterling.
"Tonight we stand together with these teens united in a call for peace and an end to this violence," Alba said through tears. "Now more than ever we need to stop, feel, and ask: What's going on?"
Ne-Yo concluded the tribute with a heartfelt version of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," which brought celebrities like Gina Rodriguez and Chanel Iman to their feet. Alba concluded the segment by encouraging viewers to take a photo of the teens on stage and share using the hashtag #stoptheviolence.
Kudos to the Teen Choice Awards for taking a break from the fun and games to pay tribute to a heavy but necessary issue like gun violence.

It's time to pay attention to Serayah. She just single-handedly saved the Teen Choice Awards. The show started a bit slow and didn't seem like it could keep the attention span of most of the teenage viewers at home, but the actress and singer quickly changed that.
It was also her first time performing live on television, ever. And she totally nailed it.
The 21-year-old plays Tiana Brown on Empire, and she showed off that signature attitude during her "Look But Don't Touch" song. It was like "Bad Blood" with a '90s cheerleader spin. It was easily the most exciting performance of this year's show. It seems that Serayah learned a bit about stage presence from her friend and squad comrade Taylor Swift.
In matching glittering bubble-gum pink uniforms, Serayah led her girl squad as they danced around the stage, taking control of the hum-drum atmosphere and turning it up 20 notches.
Dye jobs are on the rise this summer among the Hollywood crowd. And we're not talking about subtle highlights or barely-there pastel tints; we're seeing full-blown color transformations. Daisy Ridley now joins the ranks of summer color chameleons on the heels of Sarah Hyland's quick Ginger Spice phase.
At the Teen Choice Awards tonight, Daisy debuted a new red bob as she accepted the award for Choice Movie Chemistry in Star Wars: The Force Awakens with her co-star John Boyega. Going from dark brown to ruby red might not seem quite as daring as embracing the rainbow trend, but we think it's still pretty major. Especially when stars are all about blink-and-they're-gone wig changes, we're into her semi-permanent transformation.
The new look, paired with purplish-gray smoky eyes, won us over immediately. We know you're not head-over-heels for the spotlight attention, Ms. Ridley, but your awesome beauty looks make it hard for us not to go gaga.

The 2016 Teen Choice Awards have come to a close, and voters have picked their #ChoicePresident. Is this a sign of what's to come in November?
The presidential vote was one that wasn't decided before the awards show began. During the presentation, viewers were encouraged to vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, either on the Teen Choice Awards' website or on Twitter, using the hashtag #ChoicePresident. Near the end of the show, hosts Victoria Justice and John Cena, along with Keegan-Michael Key (sporting a "Don't Boo, Vote" shirt), announced the results.
Viewers of the Teen Choice Awards are apparently fans of Hillary Clinton. The Democratic presidential nominee won the #ChoicePresident vote. The results came after Cena and Justice dressed up as Clinton and Trump (respectively) during an earlier sketch.
While the #ChoicePresident vote was all in good fun, it also shared an important message for young people ahead of the November election. The Teen Choice Awards partnered with Rock the Vote for the poll, because they want young people to vote in this year's presidential election, too.
To register to vote or to check the status of your voter registration, head over to Rock the Vote's official website. Because surfboards are fun — but it takes more than a Twitter hashtag to determine who'll actually be the next president in the White House.

One unique aspect of the Teen Choice Awards is that fans themselves vote for the winners. Or at least that's what they claim. But during the 2016 ceremony, viewers were speculating that the voting process was rigged.
According to the Teen Choice Awards website, the winners are determined by fans' votes on the website, the Fox app, and Twitter. But some were skeptical that Selena Gomez, who accepted the award for Choice Female Artist remotely, actually beat Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Demi Lovato, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift.
People have been suspicious of Gomez's awards for a while, actually.
teen choice awards are so obviously rigged. might as well call them the selena gomez and crappy little twilight awards!!!!!
Kendall Jenner was up against two of her best friends tonight at the Teen Choice Awards. Jenner, along with Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin, were all nominated to be Choice Female Hottie of 2016 — a very brilliant and progressive award. (Insert eye roll here.)
No other categories for awards pitted such close friends against one other. Other nominees included another set of off-and-on besties, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, along with, last but not least, Bella Thorne. Another common denominator? Two of the nominees, Baldwin and Gomez, are exes of Bieber, who was noticeably missing from the event.
While Jenner is often competing with Hadid and Baldwin for various fashion campaigns, and runway looks, it's good to see that they can still be friends while low-key being each other's direct competition.
In fact, here are Jenner and Baldwin goofing around the day before the show proving that win or lose, it's all about the company you keep.
The Teen Choice Awards were a hit with fans of hosts Victoria Justice and John Cena, as well as the likes of Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Garner, and Kobe Bryant. There was even a cameo from Uncle Jesse himself, John Stamos.
However, many fans on Twitter felt like the award show was incomplete without some of the show's usual roster of presenters and winners. Viewers were disappointed to not see the likes of Fifth Harmony, Teen Wolf 's Dylan O'Brien, 5 Seconds of Summer, or any of the Kardashians. (Though Kendall Jenner did send in a thank-you video for her award). But they also nostalgically yearned for the appearances of yesteryear, from the likes of One Direction to Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato.

Over the top vacations have always been a signature set piece for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. This season subsets of the family have been to Vail and Iceland. This time, the destination is Cuba, which provides a wealth of opportunities for awkward cluelessness.
Before anyone escapes to more tropical climes, Khloé catches us up on what is going on with Lamar, or, more specifically, Lamar’s schedule. She calls to schedule an eye doctor appointment for him but explains to the office that he was in a coma so he’s got a list of medications longer than the form would allow. She tells Malika that he’s had a manicure, massage, and is going to have a dermatologist make a house call. She is apparently working as concierge now for her ex-husband. “I’ve put my life on hold to help get him on track,” she says. He’s also got a lot of “internal” work to do on himself, and she can’t schedule that for him.
More on that later. Now it’s time to plan a trip. Kendall is scheduled to walk in the Chanel show in Havana. Khloé thinks this is the perfect time for everyone to clear their schedules and fly south. Malika is in. Seriously, though, when is Malika never in? “It’s on my bucket list, so I’m totally happy to go,” she tells Khloé.
At Kris’s house, Kim and Khloé tell their mom that the whole gang has decided to go on the trip. Kris is not down with this vacation. She reminds her daughters that there is no wifi in Cuba. Kris can’t be out of communication for that long. She has work to do. Kim and Khloé roll their eyes at that and its full steam ahead for the trip. “You don’t communicate anyway,” Khloé says to her mom. “I hear the sangria is to die for,” Kim says.
Kourtney and her kids and Khloé and Malika are the only ones in the jet to leave from LA for Havana. Scott didn’t get his act together in time to get his visa in order. Kim and Kanye are in New York, so they’re meeting them there. It also turns out that Kendall, the entire reason for the trip in the first place, is no longer walking in the Chanel show, so she’s a no-show, too.
Khloé is nervous about leaving Lamar and being completely incommunicado. Kourtney’s only concern is having enough DEET to ward off Zika mosquitos and no place for car seats in the classic cars. She’s excited for them all to get to make some memories, a recurring Kardashian travel theme.
Khloé and Malika go for a drive in a 1957 Chevrolet convertible. It is hard not to get uncomfortable watching the sightseeing in Cuba. What is probably intended as friendly mostly comes off as clueless. There are awkward comments about goats and how nice the people are in Cuba. “Yes, that’s what I like is real life,” Khloé says to their driver Armando. “Tone deaf” is a phrase that comes to mind.
Kim and Kanye and their children arrived. Kim is excited to be with Kanye in a place that he has never been before. “Isn’t this like a dream come true to come to Cuba with your husband and your two kids?” Kanye asks his wife. Kim is, indeed, thrilled. “It hasn’t changed for decades, and it’s so amazing,” she says. Again, with the tone deaf.
Kourtney, like almost always, demonstrates that she is most adaptable, despite some of her quirks about food and chemicals. When she says she likes to walk the streets and talk to people, viewers can almost believe her.
At dinner, Khloé confides in Malika that she has heard that Lamar is asking for cash while they are away. Malika tells her that Khloé has done everything you can do, but she can’t control it. Khloé feels that Lamar was just waiting for them to leave. That’s what he used to do before when she would leave town. She is convinced his destructive patterns are starting again.
Kris isn’t enjoying the “peace and quiet” in L.A. like she told Kim and Khloé she would. She misses the texts the most and is sitting on pins and needles to hear news. To break the monotony, she goes into clean up mode, sending Kardashian beauty products to the “underprivileged women downtown for Mother’s Day.” No comment.
In Havana, they visit an artists' collective that is filled with genuinely amazing art and artists. This is the spot where having the bright spotlight that comes with a visit from Kim and Kanye might do some good from this vacation. That and it is hard not to laugh when they ask North what she is going to be when she grows up. “Are you going to be an artist?” Kanye says. Nope. “A bunny,” North declares.
It wouldn’t be a trip to Cuba without some rum and some cigars, so they visit a rum distillery. Kim wants to soak it all up. Pun intended. “Even though I’m not that big of a drinker, I’m enjoying all the memories,” Kim says. Memories. Always with the memories. Like a video record of your life for 12 seasons isn’t enough. Kanye doesn’t express his need to make memories. He likes the distillery for more basic reasons. “I’m actually super into this because I like fire, and I like alcohol.”
In California, Kris still can’t fill the void left behind by her oldest daughters. She pops over to Kylie’s house. Kylie is in the middle of a photo shoot for a new lip kit (this one appears to be blue) and says her standard line: “It’s so exciting to be part of something I have always wanted since I was little.” It is never clear exactly who she is trying to convince. Kris is looking for attention but isn’t getting it from the youngest Jenner. “I’m just not used to not hearing from anybody,” Kris says, lamenting the radio silence.
Lamar comes up again in Cuba. Kim explains the situation to Kanye. Khloé tells them that he quit his physical therapy early. She has asked him to go to counseling because she doesn’t know how to help him with that. “It’s really hard to see Khloé so stressed,” Kim says. She wishes her sister wouldn’t put all of that weight on her shoulders. Old patterns are repeating themselves.
Photo shoot over, Kylie heads to her mom’s house for a cooking lesson to make Kris’s famous pasta primavera. “I feel like my mom complains a lot that she has too many children, but I feel like she needs us,” she says. Kris appreciates the gesture. She thinks Kylie is the only one that really listens to her. With the oldest three out of touch and Kendall traveling that is certainly a true statement. Corey looks the most relieved that Kylie showed up to keep Kris company.
In the last moment from Cuba before the second half of the two-part trip, Kourtney and Kim visit Earnest Hemingway’s House And Museum. Kim discovers that she and the author of The Old Man And The Sea have something in common. Apparently, Hemingway would weigh himself every morning and write it on the bathroom wall. “That’s like me!” Kim says, inexplicably. Best not to drill down too deep on that one.
