These Are The Best Natural Products For Every Hair Type

We're in the middle of a sustainability revolution. Sure, reading labels and paying attention to where our clothes are made, what's in our food, and what we're putting on our faces isn't always easy, but it's making us a hell of a lot more healthy in the long run.

And while many of us follow the golden rule of the natural movement — "thou shalt be able to pronounce all ingredients" — when it comes to our serums and moisturizers, we tend to forget it when we wash our hair. But if you're still using the shampoo and conditioner from when you were 10 — and your hair is dry, stripped, and dull — then chances are sulfates, parabens, fragrances, and a bunch of other sneaky additives could be to blame.

Look, we hear your concerns: that your texture is difficult and plant-based ingredients won't be able to stand up to it; that you need a big, fluffy lather to really feel like your scalp is getting clean; that you just can't give up that artificial, but addictive, coconut scent everyone always compliments you on. And we're here to tell you that you can rest easy, because we rounded up the absolute best new formulas for every hair type and need — from fine to frizzy. Plus, your blowout can still smell like coconut, only now it'll be the real deal.

Let us know if you've made the switch to all-natural hair products, and share your favorites, in the comments below.

For Dry Hair...

You've got to love a label that lays it all out for you. This duo's hero ingredient — hydrolyzed wheat protein — helps to replenish lost moisture and gradually strengthen strands. Make sure to follow up with a heat protector when you get out of the shower.

Eleven Australia Hydrate My Hair Shampoo, $22.95, available at Eleven Australia.

If your hair always feels weighed down, and never truly clean, silicones could be to blame. They give a silky-smooth feeling in the short term, but end up coating strands and clogging pores in the long term. This treatment is free of 'em, but packed with good oils, like rosehip, argan, and coconut, to restore your hair's health and seal split ends.

Briogeo Rosarco Oil, $28, available at Sephora.

Buy this conditioner for the funny message on the bottle; keep it because it's so rich, reparative, and shine-enhancing.

Evo Ritual Salvation Conditioner, $25, available at Evo Hair.

For Oily Hair...

Ditching your aerosol dry shampoo for a powder version sounds...messy. But this is nothing like baby powder, promise. Pour a little into your palms and work it through the roots of your hair, scrunching with your fingers as you go, for volume, a matte finish, and a beachy-floral scent. Then, snap a shot of it for your Instagram, because, well, it's adorable.

Captain Blankenship Mermaid Dry Shampoo, $24, available at Captain Blankenship.

We jump at any excuse to clear clutter from our showers and shorten our morning routines, and this two-in-one wins on those fronts. The mint gives your scalp a tingly-clean feeling, while the marula oil adds moisture throughout.

Acure Body Beautiful 2-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner, $19.99, available at Acure.

Washing with a clarifying shampoo is like hitting the restart button on your scalp, especially if you're a styling-product junkie. It removes weeks' worth of buildup — but you should use it sparingly to avoid stripping.

Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Green Tea Clarifying Shampoo, $24, available at Sephora.

For Color-Treated Hair...

Purple shampoo is a lifesaver for toning brassy blonds and grays — and a natural one is a good way to balance out all the harsh chemicals from the peroxide.

Aveda Blue Malva Shampoo, $40, available at Aveda.

Prolong your color with a heavy-duty conditioner that locks in vibrancy and strengthens strands with botanicals.

Alterna Bamboo UV+ Color Protection Vibrant Color Conditioner, $22, available at Sephora.

Holding out for months between salon appointments can be painful. Try this first: a reparative mask that contains strengthening keratin, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and fruit antioxidants. Leave it in for the length of a relaxing bath or an episode of The Bachelorette.

Phyto Phytokératine Mask, $45, available at Sephora.

For Damaged Hair...

This product is a miracle in a tube for sealing split ends until your next trim. It's also super-lightweight, so it won't feel heavy even if your hair is fine.

Evo End Doctor Smoothing Sealant, $25.95, available at Evo.

This at-home mask leaves your hair looking and feeling the way it would after a salon treatment. Plus, you know that moment at the shampoo bowl when you close your eyes and escape for a bit? You can do that in your shower, thanks to the aromatherapy effects of the lavender and eucalyptus.

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask, $58, available at Rahua.

If you're prone to breakage and frizz, add this to your shopping cart. The organic oat beefs up brittle strands, and jojoba-seed oil smoothes unruliness.

Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo, $11, available at Weleda.

For Fine Hair...

Fine hair is often flat hair, which is no fun after a blowout. But this volumizing shampoo contains biotin, so it actually gives lasting lift at the roots — which means way more hairstyle options for you.

Grown Alchemist Volumising Shampoo, $39.95, available at Grown Alchemist.

Fine hair + leave-in conditioner = weighed-down disaster. Not here. All you get is a silky sheen.

John Masters Organics Rose & Apricot Hair Milk, $26, available at Ulta Beauty.

This sea-salt spray has the same salinity measure as the Pacific Ocean. So basically, it's legit. You'll look like you just came out of the water, but you'll smell like you came out of a coconut grove.

Herbivore Sea Mist Texturizing Salt Spray, $20, available at Herbivore.

For Thick Hair...

Detangling sprays remind us of our childhoods — and our moms painfully combing through our knotted hair — but they're actually a great addition to your grown-up lifestyle if you want to minimize hair loss due to brushing.

John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli Detangler, $16, available at John Masters.

If you have thick hair that never seems to fully absorb moisture, try this: It's got a superhero trio of coconut oil, oats, and aloe vera.

Yarok Feed Your Moisture Masque, $49.50, available at Yarok Hair.

For Sensitive Scalps...

Ease the irritation of an itchy or inflamed scalp with this purifying serum, which breaks down pore-clogging sebum.

John Masters Organics Deep Scalp Purifying Serum, $23, available at John Masters.

This shampoo can be used on any type of hair — it's that gentle. It's also crazy-stimulating for your scalp, thanks to the organic rosemary.

Neal's Yard Remedies Invigorating Seaweed Shampoo, $18, available at Neal's Yard Organic.

This hydrating aloe vera shampoo cleanses without any chemicals, and works wonders on eliminating flakes.

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Shampoo, $50, available at Dr. Alkaitis.

For Natural Hair ...

Think of this post-shower styler as a body butter for your hair. It smoothes thick and frizzy strands and restores bounce to curls.

SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie, $11.99, available at Ulta Beauty.

Have you ever smelled monoi oil? It's made by combining gardenia blossoms with coconut oil, and it's out of this world. That's reason enough to try this shampoo, but if you need others, it also prevents sun damage and breakage like a boss.

Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Shampoo, $20, available at Ulta Beauty.

For Normal Hair...

Basic is a good thing when it comes to hair types. If you don't have any concerns beyond just wanting the best blowout possible, go for lightweight, moisturizing formulas packed with botanicals.

Rahua Shampoo, $34, available at Rahua.

Cut down on your styling-product clutter with a softening, leave-in prep treatment.

Evo Day of Grace, $24, available at Evo Hair.

For Curly Hair...

Finally! We found a product that gives curls major hold, but doesn't feel greasy or crunchy.

Briogeo Curl Charisma, $20, available at Sephora.

Work this buttery styling product from mid-shaft to ends for a gleaming, healthy finish.

Original Moxie Hair Bling High Shine Pomade, $19, available at Sephora.

Apply a few pumps of this oily heat protectant from roots to tips before blowdrying, and you'll be damage-free for a whole lot longer.

Earth's Nectar Coconut Curls, $23.50, available at Sephora.

The Wen Hair Controversy Is Not Over

A Hydrating Hair Mask For YOU This Summer

Here's How, & Why, Your Hair Might Be Falling Out

Where To Find The Best Outdoor Clothing Brands

It seems like the next best thing is always coming from someplace just out of reach. From the many young Australian labels that aren't just dominating the trends but setting them to the newest fast-fashion retailer to come out of Asia, the most innovative upstarts are always a zip code too far for affordable shipping. Well, we've just found another category to tack on to our list. Pioneers in cool (no, seriously) outdoor/lifestyle apparel are emerging from all over Japan. This new wave of brands is blending their knowledge of sleek design with activewear, and the final product is something we'd happily sport on and off the slopes.

And while most of these brands are sold exclusively in Japan, you can, of course, find them in the deep depths of the internet. So while we're imploring Stateside brands to adopt this trendy take on lifestyle gear (and crossing our fingers outdoors hubs like REI will take initiative and start stocking up on the four brands ahead), click through to familiarize yourself with the styles that are about to change the game.

Snow Peak

Snow Peak is already a renowned brand in the outdoors community, with flagship stores in both Portland and New York. It's managed to show off its knowledge with compact camp gear that's reflective of the modern Japanese aesthetic. And while its three-piece steel chopsticks are definitely on our Christmas list, we're coveting the apparel designs just as much. They don't mess around when it comes to designing authentically cool waterproof clothing. Like the gear, every piece of clothing is compact and super-light, allowing you to pack more without the hassle of too much weight.

Snow Peak Dry & Stretch Dress, $220, available at Snow Peak.

Just in case you thought bait and tackles couldn't possibly be a chic print.

Snow Peak Wind Resistance Jacket, $180, available at Snow Peak.

These soft-shell waterproof pants are lined comfortably on the interior, so you don't have to bulk up on layers.

Snow Peak 3L Soft Shell Pants, $225, available at Snow Peak.

Nanamica

Headed up by Eiichiro Homma, this utility-meets-fashion brand has merged classic silhouettes with the latest in tech fabrics. You can sport any of Nanamica's apparel pieces on the street just as easily as you can during your next camping trip. If you're able to get your hands on one of its designs, we recommend going for anything made with the brand's exclusive Gore-Tex technology. While you can't buy anything directly off the company's website, online retailers like Need Supply Co., End., and Unionmade keep some of its pieces available on rotation.

Nanamica Na-1 Jacket, available at Nanamica.

We're sensing a Nanamica x Herschel Supply Co. collab in the future.

Nanamica Cycling Backpack, available at Nanamica.

Finally, a way to look semi-cute during a rainstorm.

Nanamica Soutien Collar Coat, available at Nanamica.

The fact that this protectant cap could fit in so seamlessly with our everyday wardrobe is what makes us love it all the more.

Nanamica Wind Cap, $95, available at Bodega.

The North Face Purple Label

Nanamica's designer, Eiichiro Homma, also teamed up with the ubiquitous winter-wear brand The North Face to create a line of progressively functional clothing that plays off of popular streetwear styles. The collaborative effort has spawned seasonal collections for the past seven years that have been packed with cool cuts you'd want to wear both on and off the mountain. Alas, The North Face's subset brand is available only in Japan, but we're anxiously awaiting the moment they welcome some of the pieces into their American retail shops.

The North Face Purple Label Coolmax Indigo Chambray Print Anorak, available at Nanamica.

We love the Fjallraven vibes this Purple Label backpack is giving off.

The North Face Purple Label 2Way Day Pack, available at Nanamica.

A cool weatherproof skirt is exactly what our stormy winters are missing.

The North Face Purple Label W's Mountain Skirt, available at Nanamica.

The only thing better than this tote's tent print would be if it stored an actual tent inside.

The North Face Purple Label Tent Print Shoulder Bag L, available at Nanamica.

Phenix

Phenix's styles may look modern, but its technical designs date to the brand's founding in 1953. Over the past 60 years, Phenix has evolved from a ski-minded brand into a powerhouse that's launched a handful of subset activewear lines internationally. It's the smaller design details that give Phenix's gear a more stylish edge over most other snowboarding-apparel brands. The fitted jackets and exclusively neutral-toned palette fit right in with the new wave of minimalism.

Phenix Moonlight Middle Jacket, available at Phenix.

Pom-poms forever.

Phenix Rose Knit Hat, available at Phenix.

We never thought we'd be capable of loving a set of snowboarding pants, but this slim-fit pair has us itching to get on the slopes in style.

Phenix Powder Snow Waist Pants, available at Phenix.

The Walking Dead Glitter Prank War Is Epically Amazing

The Walking Dead is a grim, gray show dealing with the reality of a world that’s been overtaken by a zombie horde. The Walking Dead cast, however, is obsessed with glitter. Well, Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln are at least.

Reedus and Lincoln have been involved in a prank war that has now escalated to spill over into their panel appearance at Comic-Con. We’ll walk you through the duel, so strap in.

Things kicked off when Reedus glitter-attacked Lincoln’s Ford (very American of him). Lincoln thought the attack was over, then he turned on his AC. There was still, like, so much glitter.

Glitter attack successful 😎

A video posted by norman reedus (@bigbaldhead) on

Lincoln licked his wounds but didn’t admit defeat. He explained the aftermath thusly on the Comic-Con panel, after explaining that people are now calling him “Sparkles” and “Glitter Boy.”

"I used to be somebody in my own hometown,” Lincoln said. “And when I got on the plane to go to San Diego, my two children had tears in their eyes and they said, "What did nanny Norman do?" And I said, sweethearts, he's humiliated your father on an international scale. And they said ‘What can we do?’"

And then he attempted to even the score. Watch below.

Of course, Hardwick posted the selfie almost immediately. Here it is. He glitter-bearded himself!

There Will Soon Be A Poop-Themed Dessert Cafe, Because Why Not?

In today's installment of establishments we did not think there was a market for, an Asian dessert cafe is opening in Toronto centered around one theme: poop.

It's very aptly named Poop Café Dessert Bar, and it opens next month, The Toronto Star reports. From Taiwanese shaved ice to Hong Kong waffles, all the food somehow resembles feces, according to the cafe's Facebook page. Yum.

But that's not all. Poop Café Dessert Bar has taken the poop theme to a whole new level with toilet-shaped dishes, and the decor sure looks appetizing.

This may seem like a laughing matter, but the purpose of the establishment is unexpectedly philosophical. Owner Lien Nguyen told The Star that she hopes “people will change their minds about poo" so that it's no longer "considered very disgusting."

Apparently, this effort to destigmatize bowel movements has been underway for a while. Nguyen was inspired by a toilet-themed restaurant in Taiwan.

The poop emoji has started a slippery slope, folks.

Meet The First Guy To Catch 'Em All In Pokémon Go

$

Someone has caught 'em all. Nick Johnson, Head of Platform at the platform innovation startup Applico, took two weeks to capture all 142 Pokémon available in Pokémon Go in North America. He completed his quest July 21st in Central Park while surrounded by a group of friends that he had made playing the game over the last few weeks. And he’ll soon complete catch ‘em all around the world, as Marriott Rewards will be partnering with him to aid him on his journey.

Johnson didn’t shirk his work, combining a 50 hour week with six-to-10 hour nightly sessions that saw him roaming the city until 4 or 5 a.m. Then he’d get up, go to work, and hit the Pokémon grind once more. The obsession was a positive one; he made a ton of new friends and says he lost 8-10 pounds. He also tells us that his Pokémon obsession is not a new one.

“I caught em all as a kid when the original Pokémon games came out, so the love of Pokémon runs deep,” Johnson says via email. “As a kid, it was fun to explore this incredible imaginary world that Nintendo had created to catch em all. Today, it’s even more incredible to be able to explore the real world while doing the same thing!”

Johnson says that the game took him to some strange places, but perhaps strangest of all was an Uber ride for the express purpose of nabbing a Dratini in New Jersey.

“I didn’t clue [the Uber driver] in to what was going on,” Johnson says via email. “I just told him I’d offer a nice tip if he drove fast! Luckily I found it fairly quickly so I didn’t have to ask him to turn around too many times.”

Apparently if you want to be a Pokémon master, the best way to do so is talk to your fellow trainers.

“I never would have caught 'em all if not for the help and advice of some great friends I made along the way,” Johnson says via email. “Pokémon Go gives you an amazing opportunity to interact with lots of people you’d never have a chance to meet otherwise. So use it! Get out there and work together to catch em all. As the Pokémon theme song says, “You teach me and I’ll teach you.”

Johnson tells us his favorite Pokémon to catch was Snorlax.

“I hatched a Snorlax from a 10k egg,” Johnson says via email. “I nicknamed it after one of my dogs, who is nicknamed Marshmallow because he’s a big fluff ball.”

Pokémon Go, Johnson says, is a natural extension of his interest in platforms through which we express ourselves and connect . He’s co-written a book on the subject, Modern Monopolies. Naturally, he plans to continue playing Pokémon.

Michelle Obama Just Dropped The Mic At The DNC

First lady Michelle Obama took the stage during the first night of the Democratic National Convention to rally voters behind presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton. Afterward, pundits were already pitying those who had to follow her on the Philadelphia stage.

Obama's speech touched on the biggest issues facing the country, from police violence to the responsibility of the president to be a role model for children. She shared an anecdote about a young Black boy who looked up at her husband and asked if the president's hair was like his own.

"This November when we go to the polls, that’s what we are deciding. Not Democrat or Republican, not left or right. No, this election, and every election, is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives," Obama told the crowd gathered in the Wells Fargo Center. "I am here tonight because in this election, there is only one person I trust with this responsibility, one person who I believe is truly qualified to be president of the United States, and that is our friend Hillary Clinton."

And she had a powerful message for the man she declined to name throughout her speech.

"When you have the nuclear codes at your fingertips and the military in your command, you can’t make snap decisions. You can’t have a thin skin or a tendency to lash out," Obama said of Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that we somehow need to make it great again.

"Don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that we somehow need to make it great again. Because this, right now, is the greatest country on Earth," she added.

Obama also praised Clinton for accepting a position in his cabinet after losing to President Obama in 2008.

"What I admire most about Hillary is that she never buckles under pressure. She never takes the easy way out. Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life. And when I think about the kind of president I want for my girls and all of our children, that’s what I want,” Obama said.

Obama shared the advice she gives her own children about dealing with bullies, telling them that when people "go low, we go high." Obama made no mention of the fact that Melania Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last week plagiarized several portions from the first lady's own 2008 convention address.

Instead, she closed with a powerful call to action during a night meant to be about forging unity between Clinton supporters and those who still support Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

"We need to pour every last ounce of our passion and our strength and our love for this country into electing Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America. So let’s get to work," Obama said.

Many people took to Twitter to praise the first lady's remarks and her "mic drop" moments.

You can watch the first lady's full speech below.

The Bachelorette Episode 9 Recap: Cruel Irony

We have all been holding our breath since last week’s hard cut at the rose ceremony. Okay, maybe that is some Bachelorette -level hyperbole, but it has crossed our minds once or twice and maybe involved a spoiler search and group text. JoJo was ready to send Luke packing and not for the jet to Thailand. Then he pulled her aside to clarify her feelings for her. One man’s clarity is another woman’s confusion. JoJo lost it in a puddle of tears on the tarmac.

This week we open on that tarmac meltdown. The other three guys are left alone and confused inside the hanger. Luke returns. JoJo follows and starts handing out roses. First, like so many other times goes to Jordan. The second goes to Robby. Chris Harrison, the harbinger of doom that he is, pops in long enough to point out that only one rose remains. That last rose goes to Chase.

Luke is shocked. Even Chase looks shocked. JoJo walks him out, apologizing through her tears. Luke can’t find anything to say. When he does, he just keeps repeating that this wasn’t supposed to happen. “I thought that the times that we had, that that magic was real. I thought that you knew that it was real,” he says.

In the limo, Luke sums it up: “I was in love with her, but I never got the chance to love her. And I think that’s what hurts the most. I barely got the chance to say it and then it was too little too late.”

JoJo cries some more tears over Luke but then jets off to Thailand where she is quickly over it. According to her voiceover, she went to bed wondering if she made a mistake and woke up confident in her choices. She says she has three great relationships, and she’s just waiting for the moment when she’s not torn. So, yep, see you, Luke. Don’t let that hanger door hit you on the way out. “I’m praying that this week brings me clarity,” JoJo says.

Robby is the first Thailand date. They spend the day in the open-air market. Robby tells her he loves her like all the time. He tells her that he’s happy they worked through the issue about his ex-girlfriend. They catch up on their feelings during a relaxing pedicure. He reminds her that he has been honest about his feelings since day one. He was the first to say it, all the way back in Uruguay and he’s not going to let anyone forget it.

“A lot of people would have said it was too soon. But it allowed me to open up to you, and I think that’s why we are where we are today,” JoJo says.

This day has a special significance for JoJo. This is the day during her season on The Bachelor that she told Ben she loved him, and that didn’t work out so well for her. She doesn’t want to break any hearts the way Ben broke her heart.

They talk about the hometown visit. Robby told his family that he loves Jojo because, well, of course, he did. He says they all knew already. He says they could see it on his face. He’s even got the receipts. He pulls out a note from his dad that says as much. “I wanted you to know that the man that “knows me the best in the world” knows that I love you. That’s like a notarized receipt sent certified mail, at least in Robby’s mind.

JoJo’s got a present of her own: the key to the fantasy suite. She says, to the camera, not to Robby, that she loves him. She also is looking to be the heroine in her own love story. Robby, always ready with an overly sentimental, cheesy line says, “I don’t have to dream about JoJo. I get to dream with JoJo.”

JoJo says she’s not going to tell anyone she loves him until the end.

Robby and JoJo say their morning after good-byes and then it’s on to the next. That next is Jordan. Where Robby and JoJo basically spent their day at the mall, Jordan and JoJo have an action adventure date. Jordan arrives via boat, and they head out for a hike. Despite being the odds-on favorite since the first episode, things are all uphill for Jordan at the start of this date. Literally, they climb a very steep hill.

The path takes a turn downwards into a set of caves that hold a hidden temple. Jordan is feeling the moment. “Thailand is going to be one of those places we look back on,” he says. There’s no kissing in the temple, and JoJo has to cover her shoulders out of respect, but that’s a good thing for her. She knows she has the passionate, physical connection with Jordan. She wants to know if they have the same level of emotional connection.

They spend some time talking about the hometowns, too. Jordan is happy she met his family, and he’s looking forward to meeting hers. JoJo says her dad just wants her to end up with someone that he knows loves her. Jordan is thinking about JoJo’s dad, too. “My only reservation is that I always wanted to look in my future wife’s father’s eyes and have him know.” He wants her family to be confident about their relationship.

JoJo’s concerns about Jordan play like a broken record. She is worried about whether or not he is ready to commit. Where Robby gets a pass because he's been on repeat with ‘I love you,’ Jordan gets a cross-examination. JoJo wants to know what the next year looks like for him, where he’s going to live, where is home going to be. He doesn’t have the answers, and she dings him for it when he says, “I don’t have nor do I need a home base right now.” JoJo doesn’t like “right now.”

He says he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, and her quick response is, “That’s what Ben said, too.” Low blow, JoJo.

Jordan, smooth talker that he is, pulls himself out of the ditch he just drove into with her by saying he can picture her walking down the aisle towards him. That move gets him the fantasy suite key.

JoJo is excited for the alone time with Jordan. She remembers how she felt that first night when she gave him the First Impression Rose.

She’s in deep with these two, and she’s starting to feel the pinch. She’s also starting to have some empathy for Ben. “I think I’m understanding how Ben got there,” she says to the camera.

Photo: Courtesy of Disney/ABC.

Chase’s date is a day at the beach. They laugh and play in the water. It’s like a montage from a Spring Break movie. Jojo remarks that he is extra playful today. “It’s amazing how much joy he brings to me,” she says.

Chase is head over heels. “Everything about her is unstoppable,” he says. For him, this date has it all: a magical place, monkeys, fisherman, saltwater, and fish. Good for you, Chase. You do you.

JoJo doesn’t want the day to end, but she’s still unsure what is going to happen. “Today is huge. But tonight is everything.” But first, there is a knock at the door. While Chase is waxing poetic about how “there is no better time than now,” Robby is popping into JoJo’s room for a quick kiss and a cuddle. Don’t forget; Robby’s in love with JoJo, and he’s got a serious competitive streak. He tells her he’s thinking about her non-stop. He’s ready for their life together. A life that he sums up as, “country clubs and coloring books.” Again, seriously, Robby? JoJo is into it, though. She likes how he is full of surprises.

If this were a disaster movie, which it turns out to be for Chase at this point, this is where the music would start to turn dark and ominous. Chase is clueless about his impending doom. He is aware of the other guys on the horizon, but, damn the torpedoes, he’s not going to be scared anymore. That’s what love is to him, security, and he is going for it.

JoJo gives him a fantasy suite key, too. He tells her that he loves her. He also tells her that he’s never said that to anyone before. “I know the burden that sentence, that phrase, carries. I’m ready to carry that for you.”

This is the moment where it all goes dark for Chase. He said he loves her, and then she excuses herself and goes outside. She just didn’t feel the way she wanted to feel when Chase told her he loved her. She goes back inside and explains that she needed to take a moment. “Why?” he asks.

She tells him she’s not where he is and that they shouldn’t spend the night together. Chase, to no one’s surprise, is not thrilled with this outcome. JoJo stammers out apologies and explanations. He’s not having it. “I jumped over a hurdle that I’ve never done before, and now I’m skewered.” Rough, Chase, but fair point. He said he loved her, and she said to get the hell out.

Chase walks away. JoJo goes after him. He believes that she gave him the fantasy card just to break his heart.

When he gets in the van to be driven away, he’s angry and hurt. This whole thing sucks. “That’s like ‘pull your pants down and let me kick you in the nuts,'” he says. He says he’s embarrassed and heartbroken.

Just like with Luke, JoJo rebounds fast and is ready for the rose ceremony where no one goes home: two roses, two men. Jordan shows up first. He tells Chris Harrison that he can’t wait for the next step. Robby shows up and says, what else, that he loves JoJo because it’s been a whole ten minutes since he said it on camera.

JoJo explains that she sent Chase home, but, not so fast! Chase appears at the top of the stairs. He wants a minute. Dude is owed a minute. Chase and JoJo step away, and he lets her off the hook for what happened on their date. “I care too much to let our relationship end the way it did the other night.” Chase leaves via the high road, which is actually a steep downward slope. He might not have gotten Jojo, but a monkey follows him as he walks away.

Back to the business at hand. Once again, Jordan gets that first rose. He was hoping for a more one-sided love situation, but, in case anyone hasn’t been paying attention, Robby is in love with JoJo, too.

Speaking of Robby’s love for JoJo, he gets in one last shot. “I’ve found love with JoJo, and I love JoJo.” We get it. We all get it. Anyone else think that Robby might profess too much?

JoJo is thrilled with her choices, but feeling the “cruel, twisted irony” of being in the situation of breaking someone’s heart the way hers was broken by Ben.

And then there were two.

Bernie Sanders: Hillary Clinton "Must Become The President"

Five hours into the first night of the Democratic National Convention, Sarah Silverman was over the boos and jeers echoing through the Wells Fargo Center.

"To the Bernie or bust people, you’re being ridiculous," the comedienne— and vocal Sanders backer — said after her own call for party unity was panned.

Silverman was one of a handful of prominent Sanders supporters to step up to the podium and say she'll "vote for Hillary with gusto" this fall.

“Come on, she’s like the only person to be overqualified to be the president," Silverman told the crowd.

But those words weren't enough to quell the discord on the first night of DNC. Calls to rally behind presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton ahead of the November election — including those coming from Sanders supporters and surrogates — were met with loud boos from Sanders fans throughout the evening.

Party unity was both a major theme and a task at hand for Democrats Monday. While polls suggest a significant percentage of Sanders voters will back Clinton in November, some of the Vermont senator's most passionate supporters show no sign of giving up the fight and backing the presumptive nominee. The controversy and fallout following the release of a trove of private Democratic National Committee communications have made tensions even worse.

Monday's effort to smooth things over and bring the party together featured an all-star line-up of political and Hollywood heavy hitters who echoed calls to come together to defeat Republican nominee Donald Trump. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker and first lady Michelle Obama all delivered stirring remarks.

Sanders himself took to the podium at the end of the night to address delegates — and reiterate his pitch for backing Clinton in the general election. After extended cheers and applause that greeted his entrance on the stage, Sanders thanked supporters and outlined the vision for a better country he championed on the campaign trail.

The senator from Vermont called on everyone to continue that work.

Based on her ideas and leadership, Hillary Clinton must become the president of the United States.

"Election days come and go, but the struggle of the people to create a government which represents all of us and not just the 1%, a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial, and environmental justice, that struggle continues," he said.

But Sanders also delivered a full-throated endorsement of Clinton's candidacy, saying she would make an "outstanding president."

"Based on her ideas and leadership, Hillary Clinton must become the president of the United States," he said.

He commended the former secretary of state's current positions on wages, the cost of college, and health care. And he said the high stakes surrounding the Supreme Court should keep people from sitting on the sidelines.

"If you don’t believe this election is important, if you think you can sit it out, take a moment to think about the Supreme Court justices that Donald Trump would nominate and what that would mean to civil liberties, equal rights and the future of our country," he said.

Clarissa Rodriguez, a pro-Sanders 17-year-old from Texas, was one of those voters who is disappointed with the outcome of the primary, including decisions by Sanders and Warren to endorse the presumptive nominee. While she said she's 90% sure she'll come around and vote for Clinton, she's not happy about it.

"I can tell you for sure that I’ll be holding my nose for the election," she told us.

Clinton is expected to formally secure the nomination in a roll call vote of the states Tuesday afternoon. She will address delegates on Thursday, the final night of the convention.

JoJo may not have given Wells Adams a rose, but we'd like to give him a whole bouquet — and a bottle of Jack Daniels, while we're at it.

Last week the dismissed Bachelorette contestant scored social media gold by Snapchatting the show while becoming increasingly boozy on beer. Luckily, his hangover ended and he was back in action to comment on last night's episode. This time, he made Old Fashioneds.

As it happens, last night's Bachelorette featured the always-juicy overnight visits to the Fantasy Suite. Adams had plenty of material to work with, riffing on walk of shames, Luke's rejection face, Chris Harrison's diction, and Robby's penchant for white jeans.

"Who do you think owns more pairs of white jeans: Robby, or Don Johnson?" he asked. "Or Ricky Martin?"

Not surprisingly, he's also created his own drinking game: Take a sip every time JoJo says "crazy." Eventually, our hero had to move on to beer.

Watch below to see him weigh in on monkeys, "Pleasuretown: population 2," and why nobody has ever looked cool on a scooter. He might have called that one, Chase.

1. World News: ISIS claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in Germany on Sunday that left 12 people injured.

The bomber, a 27-year-old Syrian man, was killed. He carried out the attack outside a music festival in Ansbach after he was denied entry to the festival. (Time)

2. On The Trail: Michelle Obama gave an instantly legendary speech last night at the DNC.

Mrs. Obama's speech touched on the biggest issues facing the country, from police violence to the responsibility of the president to be a role model for children. "I am here tonight because there is only one person I trust with this responsibility, one person who is truly qualified to be president of the United States, and that is our friend Hillary Clinton." 3. Major News: Two teenagers were killed in a shooting at a Florida nightclub. Police said it was "not an act of terrorism."

A 14-year-old and an 18-year-old were shot dead in the attack, according to the Associated Press. As many as 17 people were wounded. (Read More)

4. Here At Home: Applications to the Dallas Police Department have tripled since a shooting earlier this month left five officers dead.

The July 7 shooting was the deadliest day for U.S. law enforcement since September 11, 2001. Earlier this month, Police Chief David Brown encouraged protesters to "get off that protest line and put an application in" to work for the department. Since then, applications have surged. 5. Legends: Michael Jordan issued a statement about police violence and is donating $2 million toward reform.

"As a proud American, a father who lost his own dad in a senseless act of violence, and a Black man, I have been deeply troubled by the deaths of African-Americans at the hands of law enforcement and angered by the cowardly and hateful targeting and killing of police officers," Jordan wrote in a letter released to The Undefeated. He will donate $1 million to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and $1 million to the International Association of Chiefs of Police's Institute for Community-Police Relations. (Read More)

Yahoo operated independently for 21 years, but has struggled in recent years to make money and battle falling stock prices. (Read More)

7. Sports: Australia's Olympic team will stay in hotels due to reports of poor living conditions in the Athletes' Village.

The village reportedly has issues with plumbing and electricity. The mayor of Rio de Janeiro joked about getting a kangaroo for the team so that they would "feel at home." But Australian committee spokesman Mike Tancred told a local newspaper, "We do not need kangaroos, we need plumbers to account for the many puddles found in the apartments." (CNN)

8. In-The-Know: Nintendo's shares tanked on Monday when investors apparently realized the company doesn't make Pokémon Go.

Dannielle Owens-Reid wears her feelings about this year's election on her sleeve — literally.

The 30-year-old Californian's left bicep features a tattoo of Bernie Sanders smoking a joint, with the words, "What a time to be alive" — a reference to Drake and Future's collaborative mixtape — floating in the cloud of smoke.

Owens-Reid got the design, sketched by a friend and inked by Denver-based tattoo artist Liz Greeen, as the primary was winding to an end in May. But the decision to make such a permanent political statement was about "way more than Bernie Sanders," she says.

"It’s about how many people I’ve seen come out of the woodwork and be like, 'Whoa I believe in this shit, too,'" she said.

Owens-Reid was one of millions of young voters energized and inspired by the Vermont senator's campaign for the White House this spring. Now, heading into the general election, Sanders supporters are facing two key questions: Where does the movement go from here? And, will they support presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the fall?

For Clinton, getting many of those young voters who #FeelTheBern to now declare that #ImWithHer is no easy task. Long and hard-fought primaries often leave bitter tastes in voters' mouths, especially for those on the side that doesn't win. Thousands of Sanders backers have already taken to the streets ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia to voice their views and opposition to the nominee.

Bernie, he did awaken the political revolution; however, he is not the political revolution. We are.

Many Sanders supporters interviewed by Refinery29 at a climate change rally outside Philadelphia Sunday feel their political views are incompatible with those of the former secretary of state. And a trove of Democratic National Committee emails released over the weekend as part of a Wikileaks hack aren't helping efforts for the establishment to win the support — and trust — of Sanders' base.

Sanders has thrown his support behind Clinton's bid, saying he intends "to do everything I can to make certain that she will be the next president of the United States.”

On Monday, Sanders once again made the case for supporting Clinton during his speech at the Democratic National Convention. His pitch came after a night in which his delegates broke out into chants and boos in response to calls for party unity.

"Based on her ideas and her leadership, Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States," he said. :The choice is not even close.

Lore Elisabeth, a 29-year-old from Germantown, PA, plans to follow her candidate's lead and vote for the former secretary of state in the fall.

Owens-Reid's tattoo was inspired by a sketch drawn by a friend. Photographed by Nathaniel Welch.

“My point for voting for Hillary is not because I’m for her; it’s because I’m against Trump," she told Refinery29. "I think I understand the passion behind the protest, but I don’t think it’s an effective one in the moment.”

But some of his supporters still aren't down with the Democratic ticket — and say they never will be.

“I could never vote for Hillary Clinton. She is everything I stand against," Sameera Khan, a political activist and former Miss New Jersey, told Refinery29.

In addition to his positions on issues, Khan praises Sanders for waking up the "politically passive."

"People who weren’t previously involved in politics are now speaking out, and they’re aware of corporate greed and corporate socialism," she said.

Khan, who lives in a solidly blue state, is planning on voting for the Green Party's Jill Stein in the general election. Beyond November, she said she hopes to see other supporters continue to press for change through grassroots organizations like Democracy Spring.

My point for voting for Hillary is not because I’m for her; it’s because I’m against Trump.

“Bernie, he did awaken the political revolution; however, he is not the political revolution," Khan said. "We are."

Owens-Reid also isn't a big Clinton fan. She's discouraged by the candidate's earlier stances on LGBTQ rights and shifts on other issues.

"No matter what [Clinton] says, she has said and then done different things at different times," she said.

Owens-Reid hasn't decided how she's going to vote come November 8. But for now, she's excited to channel her newfound political activism into local and congressional races back in Southern California, which she said she's paying attention to for the first time in her life.

“It does feel like this is an incredible time to be alive," she said.

It's not enough that banished Bachelorette contestant Chad Johnson shared photos of himself smooching Robby Hayes' ex-girlfriend. Now he's joking that his former romantic rival is gay.

Hayes was chosen to be one of JoJo Fletcher's final two bachelors last night, and Johnson just couldn't handle it. Naturally, he just had to spew his views on Twitter.

Charming as ever, Chad. Also gross: The amount of followers cheering him on.

Hayes, however, wasted no time in firing back at Johnson.

When he's not questioning people's sexuality, Johnson's making time for a sexist tweet or two. Consider this gem.

How did JoJo ever let this guy slip through her fingers?

Kanye West says some crazy stuff online, in his songs, and in interviews. At this point, it's a huge part of his ever-evolving image.

West knows that the best way to get your point across — and the best way to really make people pay attention — is to go all out. And he does just that.

We've rounded up all the "beefs" West has ignited on Twitter (the only social-media platform he uses), and now we're here just to recap some of the most outrageous things the rapper has ever typed and shared with the world.

From starting drama with Wiz Khalifa (which was resolved) to sharing thoughts about his opulent life (remember the marble conference tables tweet?) to just ranting about whatever comes to mind, he is nothing but entertaining. I wonder what his Drafts section of Twitter looks like.

Now, if only he would get Snapchat. That I'd like to see.

Guys, Kendall Jenner has breasts. And sometimes she doesn't feel like hiding them under a bra. And sometimes that means you see her nipples. And, yes, she also has nipple rings. Try to contain your outrage.

The model addressed her love of "freeing the nipple" in a new blog post yesterday. Long story short: People need to get over it.

"I really don't see what the big deal is with going braless!" she wrote. "I think it's cool and I really just don't care! It's sexy, it's comfortable and I'm cool with my breasts. That's it!"

She's also proud of her nipple rings, and shared that she's got a pair of angel wings that are "really sick" and ready to be put on display. The paparazzi are standing by, no doubt.

If Calvin Klein doesn't have a problem with its underwear model nixing a bra, why should we? You do you, girl.

Meet Our New Middle East Beauty Correspondent

When the media discusses international beauty trends, the conversation is generally dominated by Korean companies, with a few obligatory "How to Whatever Like A French Girl" articles thrown in. But lately, we've noticed a growing number of beauty disciples turning their eyes to the Middle East.

From prominent Muslim beauty bloggers — Huda Kattan, Nura Afia, and Dalal AlDoub — to halal-certified beauty products, the Middle East, in our humble opinion, is the next big beauty hot spot.

Which is why we decided to bring on a beauty writer to tell us what's hot and happening on the Arabian Peninsula and beyond. Meet Shyema Azam, our official Middle East correspondent. Shyema hails from Chicago and NYC, where she has written for pretty much every major women's magazine you can think of. She recently took a leap of faith and shipped herself off to Dubai to work with Kattan on her beauty line, Huda Beauty, and "immerse myself in learning about the culture of beauty in this part of the world."

"Relocating to Dubai has been my first immersion into the Arab culture (which I say loosely, because the majority of the people I’ve met in Dubai are expats). I’m hoping to travel more within the region while I’m here, but the makeup and beauty craze is real and I think women here really take it to the next level," she tells us. Shyema is a practicing Muslim who has traveled around the world and is semi-fluent in Arabic. "I still really suck at speaking it, but I can get by — mostly when I have to haggle in the souks," she says.

Each month, Shyema will report on everything from the best brands and products coming out of the region to the latest beauty stars. She'll also tackle heavy-hitting issues around Muslim beauty, and the misconceptions people have about it.

I think it’d be a mistake to assume that women who cover are drab or uninteresting because they choose not to show all of themselves in public.

"Muslim beauty is hard to define since it’s such a mix of culture and, for some, religious beliefs. As a Muslim, I can say there is just a wide range of how women express themselves and the way they practice their faith," she explains. "Some choose to cover, some don’t, but I think it’d be a mistake to assume that women who cover are drab or uninteresting because they choose not to show all of themselves in public. On the contrary, you learn there are so many ways they still express themselves — a big part of the [Muslim] faith is focused on cleanliness and finding the beauty in all things inside and out, while still remaining modest."

In her short time in Dubai, Shyema has seen plenty of trends — "that brow game is strong here" — and just how invested and well-versed many Arabic women are in all things beauty. "Women here are on top of what’s new and trendy in beauty, so I think it’s important to pay attention to what happens here. Locals are voracious in their consumption of the newest and the best. Price is not an object for many of them." She adds, "To me there’s a stark difference in how women here are perceived in the West, and how fierce [Arabic women] really are in expressing themselves through cosmetics and fragrances."

As for what you can expect from her column? In addition to all the cool product and trend news, she hopes you'll get the chance to see "a more positive, interesting side to the Middle East than you're normally fed from the news — there’s a whole vivacious culture that is expressed through the arts and beauty here that I don’t think gets enough spotlight."

Check out Shyema's first post — an exclusive insider peek at Kattan's massive makeup closet, and follow her on Instagram and Twitter for up-to-the-minute dispatches from her travels. Let her know in the comments below what kinds of stories you want to see her cover.

I thought I knew beauty until I moved to the Middle East. Even though I have more than 10 years of experience writing about products, ingredients, trends, and covering backstage at Fashion Week in NYC, beauty in the Middle East feels like it's in a league of its own. I quickly learned that if you want to really know beauty in this region, you would be amiss not to get to know Dubai-based beauty expert Huda Kattan, more commonly known by her IG handle @hudabeauty.

The American-born Iraqi makeup artist has tended to famous faces like Eva Longoria and Nicole Richie, as well as members of the Emirati royal family. She grew to be one of the most successful and recognized Instagram stars and businesswomen after launching her lash designs at Sephora.

I’ve met a lot of people in the industry in my years as a writer and editor at Allure, but I can say, hands down, that she is easily one of the biggest connoisseurs of beauty I've ever encountered. I first met Kattan when I interviewed her for a story during a short stopover in Dubai. She impressed me so much that five months later, I decided to pack my bags and move from New York to Dubai to join her team. What I’ve learned during my day-to-day in the office is that Kattan is really and truly a well of beauty knowledge. I learn something new from her every single day. (Rubbing potatoes on your skin twice a day to lighten your underarms? Yep, it works.) Having spent so many years in the industry, it’s refreshing to see that she still gets giddy when she comes across a great new product.

So when Kattan shared that she converted her master bedroom into her “dream closet,” complete with an attached bathroom, I had to see for myself how someone who owns over 10,000 beauty products (and that’s not even counting the ones in her office) organizes her life.

“My closet is my sanctuary,” she says. “We didn’t grow up with a lot of money, so it’s the small things that make such a difference to you as a person and give you that fuel to work hard. My closet is one of those things. That’s why I put so much energy into this.”

Keep clicking to get an exclusive peek into Kattan's personal beauty wonderland. Our tiny medicine cabinets are seething with jealousy.

Dressing Table

"Putting makeup on is very meditative to me, so seeing something really beautiful around me while I do that was very important to me. When I want to relax and unplug, I’ll play some classical music and do my makeup here. I have meetings in here, my Skype calls happen here. The lighting is also great to do my ‘Get Ready with Me’ videos."

Candy Jars

"Growing up, I wanted to live in this fantasy world where makeup was displayed like candy. Now, I like to play on these things — it all comes alive to me when I put pretty, colorful makeup in a candy jar. I think it speaks to my inner child."

Fragrances

"I love displaying things like art. I put my perfume on mirrored trays. You can put anything on there — you can even put your toothbrush on one, and it makes everything look more beautiful and royal. I picked these up from a furniture store here called The One."

Wigs

"Ever since I read something about Beyoncé having so many wigs, I just wanted a ton of them. The reality is, I am a mom and there are a lot of days I don’t even get to wash my hair or do my nails, so I always like to have press-on nails and wigs for those times. It helps me express myself and how I feel that day without needing the time and energy put into it."

Lip-Gloss Jars

"Even though we’ve thankfully grown as a company and I’m able to spend more now, I still hold on to, How can I make things look really expensive without it costing a lot? I like to put expensive makeup on inexpensive decor, and it makes it look so elegant and beautiful. The glass jars here are from Dragon Mart, which is basically like Chinatown here. You can find these here in different sizes, and they’re maybe $4 or $5. Putting your lip glosses in things like this...[looks] artistic and fun."

Flowers

"I love real flowers, but I don’t put them in my closet. It’s not the right place for them — there’s no light, and they’d just die. So I typically get fake flowers like these."

Photo: Courtesy of Huda Kattan.

Candles

"Growing up we never had candles around, so I think that’s why I like having them around even more now. I like my closet to smell flowery — I really love the scent of Diptyque and Fornasetti candles. [The Fornasetti here] has a light smell of sandalwood. I like that it looks like a funky piece of art. It adds a little character to the room."

Labeled Drawers

"I have drawers and drawers of makeup that I’ve labeled and am still organizing. I go through them every [few months] and donate them. My mom goes to different parts of the Middle East, like Jordan and Iraq, and you’d be surprised how obsessed they are with Maybelline! They’d even take a used product — it’s crazy. I just give them to my mom to donate. They freak out over some of these drugstore brands, like L’Oréal and Rimmel London — they just love it."

Photo: Courtesy of Huda Kattan.

Chandelier

"I got my closet done by Creative Closets [Ed. note: a bespoke closet service], but I definitely think you can do things on a budget, too. My first closet was done by Ikea, and I spent $3,000 to do the whole thing — a big investment for me at the time. I got this chandelier from Dragon Mart for $200. I’ve had it for seven years, and thought it still fits with the aesthetic of my new closet."

Shoes

"Shoes to me are decor; so are bags. I think things like those should be displayed as art. I don’t think they should be hidden away."

Beauty Vitamins

"I keep beauty vitamins like these ones from Hum Nutrition on my dressing table, so I can remember to take them. [Health is] really important to me."

Tweezer Tray

"I like to have all my necessities in little containers like this. My tweezers and scissors, and my facial razors — which I do use — are all here."

Eyebrow Drawer

"I like to keep my eyebrow and eyelash conditioners here. I get a lot of these clear containers from Muji."

Matryoshka

"Probably the weirdest place I’ve gone to pick up decor is from a place in Covent Garden in London. I have a thing for matryoshkas, and I got this one from there... I just thought there is something powerful about her."

Photo: Courtesy of Huda Kattan.

Sunglasses

"Some people buy magnets when they travel. When I go to a new country, I go straight to the pharmacy to pick up beauty products, and then I’m off to buy sunglasses. I love the big, mirrored ones I picked up in Korea. I used to have them in drawers and I kind of hated that they were hidden away. I like how these are displayed on a shelf [near the door]. I come here, look in the mirror to see what works, and I’m off.”

Photo: Courtesy of Huda Kattan.

Bath-Bomb Vases

"My baths are really important to me. I take [a bath] every single day for at least 10 minutes. It’s my time to unwind and just not think of anything. I’m obsessed with Lush’s Bath Bombs, and definitely splurge on them. I love to see the pop of color, so I store them in these clear flower vases."

Photo: Courtesy of Huda Kattan.

Mother-Of-Pearl Bowl

"This bowl is really important to me; I got it from the Maldives. I hadn’t vacationed in four years, and that trip made me think about how short life is and [that] you should just enjoy it and not work all the time. This bowl is a good reminder for me to take more vacations."

Photo: Courtesy of Huda Kattan.

"I definitely buy more makeup than I get [sent to me]. I think a lot of bloggers will wait for people to send them products, and I consider myself a blogger but also a beauty enthusiast — so sometimes, I just can’t wait for people to send us products. I have this weird need to try everything — it’s so bizarre."

There's a lot of drama going on between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna right now, but one thing remains the same: They're still a couple.

At least that's what a source close to the pregnant Chyna has told People.

"They're not broken up," the insider revealed.

Another source told Us Weekly that Kardashian's sudden deletion of his Instagram photos stemmed from "just a fight," not a break-up. Indeed, Chyna was seen wearing her engagement ring in a makeup tutorial posted on Snapchat yesterday.

The parents-to-be reportedly had a skirmish while filming their reality show, during which Kardashian got scratched and called the rapper a "psycho bitch."

"Rob and her have been getting into little tiffs and Blac Chyna flipped on Rob," a source explained to E! News. "He was so pissed at how she spoke to him, so he deleted everything about her to hurt her.

"[They're] back in love and have spoken through their fight," the source added.

Well, that was dramatic. Take it easy, lovers.

Lindsay Lohan 's rep and some of the star's friends are speaking up about her relationship with Egor Tarabasov. A day after The Sun posted video apparently showing the 30-year-old actress calling for help and claiming that Tarabasov had strangled her, some of her friends spoke anonymously to Page Six about their concerns.

"Lindsay believes Egor has anger-management issues and she would like him to go to therapy," Lohan's rep told the site. "They both want to work things out.”

With regard to one of Lohan’s since-deleted tweets from the weekend that seemed to imply she may be expecting, the rep said, “I cannot confirm her pregnancy.”

A source also told Page Six that Tarabasov has been stepping into Lohan's professional life as well, firing rep Hunter Frederick, who previously monitored her social media.

"[Tarabasov] is in charge of her finances and is controlling over her deals, even though he has no experience in Hollywood," the source said.

UnReal Recap: Rachel's Mom Has A Horrifying Secret

Per usual, Quinn has managed to bury the worst of the aftermath of the police violence, sequestering Romeo and Darius in a hospital and hiding video evidence. As a reward, Gary has put her back in charge of Everlasting — and that means that Coleman has to live out his remaining contract as a lame duck, totally stripped of his show-runner responsibilities.

But Coleman is about to stumble on another breaking story: After discovering Yael rifling through his laptop one morning, he learns that she's a reporter — and that she's working on a TV piece that would expose all the Everlasting secrets. She blackmails him into staying silent, but he also seems interested in being complicit in her plan because it would help resurrect his own career. More on that in a bit.

Quinn is happy to be back at the helm, but it also means that she's sacrificing her relationship with John Booth, and they still haven't finished that conversation about wanting kiddos. She's got a lot on her plate though, and the cherry on top is that Darius has disappeared from the hospital without a trace, which poses a big problem for the show and what to do with the contestants in the meantime.

Turns out, Darius left the hospital to track down Ruby because he wants to be with her. But she's like, "Um, no, you humiliated me on national television and now you only want me because I'm a last resort," so that's not going to work out at this point. Jay traces Darius to the coffeeshop where he met up with Ruby and gives him a real talk about his next moves: He basically thinks Darius should stay on the show, marry Tiffany, reap the benefits, and use it as a launchpad to become a sports announcer and even a team owner now that he can't play the game anymore. Yep, that's right. Darius had the surgery after the shooting and it didn't work. Football is a no-go for him from now on.

Back at the mansion, Quinn is doing some fast thinking and concocts an episode where the girls will have a chance to vote each other off the series, which could pose a major problem since Yael, Jameson, and Chantal are all on team bye Tiffany. So Chet and Quinn are scheming about how to keep the girls from voting Tiffany off... and that winds up turning into Chet making out with her, which we're supposed to believe is possible because she has self-described "daddy issues." Um. Okay. Moving on.

Somewhere not so far away, Rachel is still being held in the hospital, all drugged up, and Coleman goes to visit her. When Rachel wakes up, he tells her that her mom has been keeping him from her, and that he's been trying to see her all week and wants to get her out of there. He tells her he loves her; Rachel agrees that she wants to go. Her mom is not happy, and frankly more frightening than usual. But instead of taking Rachel home, Coleman takes Rachel straight to the Everlasting set to get her to confess on camera what really happened with the police; but Rachel, in her foggy state, spills on everything that happened last season with Mary, and a bunch of other awful shit she's been involved with on the show. At this point, it dawns on Coleman that he's struck an information gold mine — but that he'll have to essentially ruin Rachel's life in order to restart his own TV production career.

Rachel's mom follows them to the set with another doctor who is trying to assess whether or not Rachel is capable of taking care of herself and has her wits about her. But when the doc pushes on Rachel to tell him more about what's going on, Rachel's mom freaks out, afraid that Rachel is going to spill a secret from their family past. And this is the moment we've all been waiting for, when we finally figure out what the hell is going on between Rachel and her mom.

Rachel confesses to Coleman that when she was 12, one of her mom's psychiatric patients raped her at home. Her mom never told the police because she was afraid that it would ruin her private practice, so she's been "treating" Rachel herself all these years. And by treating, she means drugging her into a stupor so that she can't talk about what happened with anyone else, and telling Rachel that if any guy ever found out what happened with the rape that they would think it was her fault and that no one would ever love her. Rachel tests that assertion by telling Coleman everything — and he responds by telling her how sorry he is that happened to her, and that he loves her.

Quinn catches wind of all of this, though it's unclear if she knows about the rape itself, and reminds Coleman that if he wants to protect Rachel, that means staying silent about the buried tape and all the Everlasting drama. But in the end, when Rachel is sleeping in his office, Coleman sneaks off to meet Yael. At first it seems like he's going to tell her that he can't participate in any of this expose plotting. But then he says that there's a lot more to this story and he's going to help her tell it. So he's either leading her off the trail to protect Rachel or going full rogue.

Tiffany, by the way, does get voted off. But then Darius shows up — totally unplanned — at the last moment, and saves her, cutting Jameson instead. As he walks off the set he runs into Quinn and tells her that she can only speak to his via Jay — and that he never, ever wants to see Rachel again. Darius and Tiffany wind up in this little lit up pagoda, making out, both of them clearly a little confused about what they want but knowing that ending up together could be the best possible thing for them both.

At the end of the night, that leaves Quinn on her own. She calls John Booth, who shows up on the driveway in his fancy pants car, and asks her if she has given any more thought to the whole having babies thing. She has, and she wants them, with John. Turns out even Quinn has a ceiling for drama, and perhaps this time she's hit it.

The Alexa Chung Guide To Keeping Cool In The Heat

Summer dressing is an oft -dissected art form. As we saw with Rihanna's sartorially triumphant week in New York, it's one that celebrities seem to have down. Yes, presumably they have air-conditioned cars at their beck and call. The rest of us have to survive that disconnect between an overheated commute and an icebox-like workplace. But there's always something to learn from style stalking those who dress seemingly without being bogged down by unsexy, very practical climate-related concerns. Look no further than Alexa Chung's delightful take on textbook summer outfits.

Whether it's the no-fail minidress or the it's-too-hot-to-function-otherwise denim cutoffs, Chung's seasonal wardrobe is a case study in staples. Yet, she manages to lend a certain flair (be it with accessories or unexpected shoe pairings) that we might not think of when we have heat on the brain — in a way only Chung can. Her upcoming clothing line will make it a lot easier to copy her style moves. In the meantime, we'll do what we've always done: Follow her #OOTDs and take notes. Ahead, see how Alexa Chung does summer in the city.

The little black dress might not be an obvious summer staple, but the right silhouette (like Chung's mod-inclined mini) will fit right in to your seasonal rotation.

Don't pack away those cutoffs you bought exclusively for festival season: Chung balances out the frayed edge and cropped length of this tricky staple by pairing them with a billowy boho blouse up top and a fresh set of high-tops.

Logomania is alive and well: Chung complements the retro graphics on her black-and-white T-shirt with a '70s-esque, button-front skirt.

Cutoffs aren't the only way to wear denim in the summer. If you decide to brave the heat in jeans, try a less fitted, cropped-ankle style. Then, keep the rest of your pieces light and breezy: Chung opts for an airy blouse up top plus lace-up espadrilles on the footwear front.

How to do pajama dressing when it's too hot to deal: Alexa Chung edition. Instead of a cozy top-and-trouser combo, she opts for a shirtdress — keeping cool without sacrificing comfort.
